The scope of this residential remodel project has two facets to it:
1) Removal of a load bearing wall which separates the kitchen from the living room in the main level of the
house. Replace the load bearing wall with a system of LVL Beams, wood columns, and concrete footings. This new framing supports the existing roof framing.
2) Addition of a new outdoor wood framed deck at the main level of the house. This eleveated deck is made up
of pressure treated Hem-Fir #2 joists, beams, columns, and concrete footings. The lateral system of the deck isa cantilevered wood column system with knee braces and moment base connections embedded into concrete footings.
